Peugeot storsatsar,- på elbilar! 100% elfordon 2025!

Tavares used a speech at the Automotive News World Congress in Detroit, an event packed with auto industry executives, to outline an ambitious agenda for pushing his company into the front row of the industry’s technology race. He plans to use the 2017 acquisition of GM’s European Opel and Vauxhall operations as the springboard for global expansion.

Tavares said in his speech that by 2025 “the PSA Group will be 100 percent electrified,” which can mean all electric or hybrid. Tavares and a company spokesman clarified that electrification will be an option on all the automaker’s vehicles by that time. Global automakers have announced $90 billion in investments to electrify future vehicles to comply with regulations to curb carbon dioxide emissions.

Renault och Bilia öppnar ny bilhall för försäljning av elbilar i Täby

Via en pressrelease från BILIA hittade vi denna nyhet:

Renault har utvecklat ett nytt butikskoncept ”Renault Z.E. – Electrical Vehicle Experience Center” för sina elbilar. Flaggskeppsbutiken som blir den första i Europa öppnas i samarbete med Bilia och kommer ligga i Täby Centrum, utanför Stockholm. Med ett nytt urbant distributionsnät, som Renault implementerar där kunderna finns, visar företaget tydligt att man anpassar sig till utvecklingen av kundernas behov.

(Anläggningen öppnar redan i februari 2018)!

Ford has finally decided to make a switch from “electrification” to a more purposeful focus on electric.

Electrification includes those hybrids and mild hybrids of yesteryear, so it’s hard for us to get excited when an automaker makes claims of adding electrification to every model in its lineup.

Volkswagen planerar investera ca: 6 miljarder under fyra år för utvecklingen av en gemensam plattform för flera typer av el-fordon

The first VW-badged MEB model, the A-segment-sized I.D. hatchback, will debut in Europe next year, followed by the ID Crozz, a small CUV that also will be sold in the U.S. beginning in 2020.

Coming after that is a battery-electric sedan (likely around 2021), followed by a CUV one size bigger than the Crozz. The I.D. Buzz, a modern interpretation of the VW Bus, is due in 2022, followed by additional derivatives and yet another MPV/CUV prior to 2025. Commercial vehicles based on the MEB platform also are in the cards.

GM kör utan ratt och pedaler redan 2019!

General Motors har sökt tillstånd av NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) i USA för autonom trafik utan ratt och pedaler för Chevy Bolt

Om detta godkänns kan GM leverera 2,500 självgående bilar per år i taxi service lösningar och därmed ge en rejäl knuff för autonom trafik.

”We think the technology is going to have a huge impact on the world,”  GM President Dan Ammann said during a conference call. ”Obviously, there will be an adoption curve where people get used to engaging with it and using it.”

Cruise has driven ”hundreds of thousands of complex urban miles” in the self-driving cars, Vogt has said. GM has announced plans to test the cars in Arizona, California and Michigan. It is expected to expand to New York City in 2018.

GM builds its self-driving cars in Michigan at the Orion Assembly plant, which Ammann said has ”plenty of capacity” to increase production of the vehicles.

Nu är det lönsamt tanka Etanol igen!

Det är nu klart lönsamt att tanka E85 för den som har en flexifuelbil. Detta sedan skatten på E85 tagits bort vid årsskiftet. Det betyder att 220 000 ägare till flexifuelbilar kan göra en stor klimatinsats genom att tanka rätt, och dessutom göra det med lönsamhet.
